A Campaign to Support GJP's 25 Years of Innovative Indigent Legal Services that Work
- Fewer than 5% of GJP's clients receive further time in jail or prison - the nationwide rate is over 70%
- GJP's clients' recidivism rate is 17% - nationally, 66% of those released find their way back to prison within 3 years.
- GJP serves clients for less than $3,000 per person in Georgia, it costs $18,000 each year for each person in jail or in prison.
The legal community's support is essential to GJP's success - the dollars raised from lawyers directly supports GJP's staff lawyers. And over 30 Atlanta law firms and legal departments have a L2L Campaign - and here's a link to a list of them.

United Way
GJP isn't a United Way agency, but donors can designate a part (or all) of their United Way donation to GJP. Here's a link to instructions as to how to make a gift - and these instructions are important, because otherwise GJP will not know you've made a gift to it through United Way.
Important Information: United Way keeps 9.5% of what you designate to Georgia Justice Project.
