The family of Dr. Preston Fogle and Mrs. Jackie Fogle

The Fogle’s came to juvenile court for a hearing scheduled for a teenage client named David.  Dr. Fogle explained to the Court that he could be a mentor to David and help him get on the right track. David avoided imprisonment in a youth detention center that day, and was allowed to go home under the watchful eye of Dr. Fogle and GJP’s case management team.

David began spending almost every weekend at the Fogle’s house, having meals with the family, attending church, and having private conversations with Dr. Fogle about his feelings, his problems, and his progress. David also spent a number of holidays with the Fogle family including birthdays and Thanksgiving.

Dr. Fogle helped David apply for jobs, and he eventually began working at Wendy’s.  H even began paying restitution for his mistake. Dr. Fogle’s calm strength was a model for David to follow in his school journey and at his job.

Mrs. Fogle guided David in his schoolwork and helped him prepare for tests.  David’s grades have improved substantially over this last year. Doctor and Mrs. Fogle also helped David register for the SAT and are helping him make applications to colleges.

Thanks to the compassion and care of the family of Dr. Preston and Mrs. Jackie Fogle, David is in a more stable and productive point in his life.  He calls Dr. Fogle to check-in and spends time with the Fogle family, when his work and school schedule allows.  With David’s growing maturity, he approaches situations in a more thoughtful way that speaks to his rehabilitation.  Reese, the Fogle’s daughter, currently a junior at Harvard University, considers David to be like a younger brother.  The Fogle family couldn’t be happier with their decision to become involved in David’s life.  David couldn’t be more blessed.
