__''President Jimmy Carter visits Georgia Justice Project!''__ Many supporters attended a reception in July with the former President as he dedicated the Charles H. Kirbo Reception Area at GJP. President Carter called Mr. Kirbo his “most valued and effective advisor in both my public and private life.” The Kirbo family is long-time supporters of our work.
President Carter went on to say, “One of the most difficult things faced as governor was the inequitable application of the law. The ravages of slavery and the ravages of legal discrimination against black people were still evident in Georgia. And it was obvious to me as a non-lawyer that this was not a fair way to treat our citizens.” President Carter commended GJP and its supporters for creating “a fair way to treat our citizens.”
__Social Services__

Welcome Luke and a warm thanks to Mark Roland who wrapped up his Jesuit Volunteer year in August.
