GJP to Receive the King Center’s “Dream Forward Social Justice Award”

We were honored to receive notice that The King Center will be honoring Georgia Justice Project (GJP) at its second annual Dream Forward Community Service Awards.  This recognition is given yearly to those who have demonstrated an outstanding impact in the community they serve as well as the work they do in helping to advance The King Center’s mission to carry Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King’s work of nonviolent social change.

GJP will receive the Dream Forward Social Justice Award for “your commitment to help hundreds of people through representation and support in the criminal justice system, as well as your determination to provide a voice to the voiceless.”

We are thrilled to receive this award, and we hope that you will join us for this special event.  This “King Holiday Observance Kickoff Reception and Chef Showcase” will take place on Tuesday, January 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Center and Aquatic Center located at 110 Hilliard St. SE, Atlanta, GA  30312.
