Bondurant Mixson & Elmore Fellow joins GJP's staff
GJP staff is pleased to announce the addition of Robin Coggswell, Bondurant Mixson & Elmore Fellow, as our new Project Attorney. Robin is GJP's first fellow from Bondurant Mixson & Elmore and will be an excellent addition to the legal staff. The firm has donated $100,000 to GJP fund the position for the next two years. Equal Justice Works Fellow joins GJP staff
GJP's staff grows as Amy Zaremba is named the newest Project Attorney for GJP. She returns to GJP, after serving as a law student intern in 2003,as an Equal Justice Works Fellow. This fellowship will donate funds to sustain her position for two years. As a Project Attorney, Amy will be addressing the decriminalization of homelessness in Atlanta.

Executive Director Doug Ammar speaks at Roger Williams School of Law
Executive Director Doug Ammar will keynote the "Coming into Community" workshop. The conference which takes place from June 16-18 will focus on models of legal education that bring law students, law faculty, and law school educational and service programs into the local community. Doug will speak about GJP's program and academic relationships with schools such as Georgia State University, Emory University and Washington & Lee University.

In July, Executive Director Doug Ammar will travel to Harvard Business School to attend the Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management program. Julie Mayfield wins 11Alive Community Service Award
GJP Board Member Julie Mayfield has been selected as one of 11 people this year to receive WXIA TV's 11Alive Community Service Awards. Channel 11 has been giving these awards each year for 30 years to 11 "outstanding local volunteers who have demonstrated selfless devotion for the betterment of the community."
