2015 Policy Forum Report

Georgia Justice Project held its second annual policy forum at Georgia-Pacific on November 17, 2015.  Sponsored by The Charles Koch Foundation, the forum gathered members of the business community, policymakers and other interested stakeholders to discuss ideas, opportunities and challenges presented to the private sector when considering and hiring qualified individuals with a criminal history.  Three specific areas were explored during the event:  “ban the box” policies, the use of commercial background reports and barriers to professional licensing.
