As we navigate the challenges presented to us by COVID-19, Georgia Justice Project (GJP) has been reassured by the outpouring of offers of help from our volunteers, community partners and financial supporters. Thank you – your support is invaluable. If you are looking for ways to make a difference in the lives of those most likely to see negative economic impacts as a result of the pandemic, GJP has been offered an unprecedented opportunity to maximize your support.
The Stand Together Foundation has launched the #HelptheHelpers campaign to support their Catalysts grantees (GJP is a current recipient) on the frontlines of COVID-19. This pandemic represents a unique challenge—not only to those who need help, but also to those who are helping. In addition to the severe hardships caused by a lack of economic activity, precautions to protect public health are limiting the ways in which many of us can help the people in our communities who need it the most.
Stand Together will match individual donations of up to $5,000 per donor up to $100,000 and until matches reach $1.5 million. This is the second round of matching from the foundation, as the goal of $1 million in matching funding was reached in a single day.
If you have not made a gift to GJP this year, your gift can have unparalleled impact during these trying times. If you have already made a donation, consider an additional gift to help our clients continue on their path to a new life.
