Criminal Records & Reentry Presentations Across Georgia

Georgia Justice Project partnered with the Georgia Department of Community Supervision to provide presentations to those with a criminal record and service providers in 8 counties across the state: Richmond, Troup, Macon-Bibb, Muscogee, Liberty, Floyd, Hall, and Douglas Counties.

There were 2 presentations at each location:

  1. “What Can You Do About Your Criminal History?” – Attendees learned about the nuts and bolts of criminal records in Georgia. Afterward, attendees had a chance to meet with a member of GJP’s legal staff to discuss their record.
  2. “A Community Conversation – The Future of Reentry in Georgia” – GJP Executive Director Doug Ammar moderated a panel of local criminal justice stakeholders, engaging the community in a discussion about recent changes to Georgia law, the importance of reducing employment barriers, and the future of criminal justice reform.
