GJP’s “Grass Roots Justice Awards” is our primary annual fundraising event during which we honor extraordinary individuals and organizations in our community whose commitment, leadership and hard work advance justice among the poor.
GJP has the distinct pleasure of honoring Peter Carter and the Delta Air Lines Legal Department at our upcoming Grass Roots Justice Awards.
We are delighted to recognize Peter and his team for their extraordinary commitment to serving the community and for their robust pro bono efforts. Assistant General Counsel Sheandra Clark serves on GJP’s Board, and the Delta Legal Department is actively involved in GJP’s Criminal Records Clinic, helping people overcome barriers to employment and housing resulting from a past arrest that did not lead to conviction.
Our esteemed Co-Chairs for this event are Francis S. “Frank” Blake, non-executive Chairman of Delta’s Board of Directors and Teresa Wynn Roseborough, Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for The Home Depot.
This event will be held on Thursday, May 9, at The Delta Flight Museum. The reception will begin at 6:00pm, and the dinner and program will begin at 7:00pm. Business attire.
We hope that you will consider sponsoring this year’s event in support of Georgia Justice Project’s life-changing work and in recognition of the Delta Air Lines Legal Department’s commitment to serving our community. Sponsors who respond by February 22 will be listed as Host Committee members on the formal invitation.
