Volunteering with GJP

As the Georgia Justice Project continues to gain momentum in the local, regional and national arena, volunteers are increasingly vital to our capacity to deliver on our mission and capture the voices and stories of those who experience the realities of life beyond incarceration.  If you have a passion and desire to partner with us in our quest to address the challenges facing Georgia’s released ex-offenders or clients out on bond, we welcome your participation._MG_5765

Georgia Justice Project engages volunteers in four distinct areas to affect a holistic approach to our work:  Policy Research, Community Outreach and Education, Collateral Support for our Legislative Agenda and Capturing Stories and Testimonies of persons affected by the current legal system.  All of these components comprise the foundation for continued advancement of systemic legal progress in Georgia.  Through the strategic integration of sound legal research based on historical precedent, the sharing of real-life stories and a diverse voice, GJP will move the needle towards sustained reform for all of Georgia’s citizens.

Those wishing to get a closer look at us and a broader understanding of our work are encouraged to attend our events and open houses.  Volunteers assist with event execution, operations and outreach.  We invite you to get to know and serve with us.  Please send a cover letter outlining your area(s) of interest and how you would like to participate, a copy of your resume/cv and complete the application below.  Completed application and documents should be sent to: willie@gjp.org.  We will notify you of available opportunities once received.
