Are you a legal professional interested in helping Georgians impacted by the criminal legal system?
For years, Georgia Justice Project (GJP) has worked with dedicated talent from the legal community to serve those in need of a second chance. Our volunteers not only break down barriers for our clients, but they also build a better future for the whole community.
Want to get involved? Current opportunities include our monthly Criminal Record Clearing Clinic, our quarterly Pardon Clinic, Criminal Records Intake, our DDS Letter Writing Clinic, Policy Research, and assistance with occasional appeals of record-clearing denials.
General Volunteer Opportunities
Currently, GJP has limited non-legal volunteer opportunities. Volunteer opportunities for non-legal professionals from July through December 2026 are listed below. We have limited capacity to respond to requests outside of current needs. Also, please note that GJP is not able to accommodate requests to complete court-ordered community service.
Operations Volunteers - Operations at GJP handles everything from HR to Finance, Technology, and Facility Management. If you're interested in the support systems that make a nonprofit run well, this volunteer opportunity may be for you. Currently, volunteers are needed who can commit to 3-4 hour shifts, one to two times a week on Monday and/or Thursday mornings. Ops projects vary from physically scanning files to digitally archiving our file systems, helping organize both our digital and physical file rooms, working through old financial documents for organization, and prep for scanning and organizing our photo collections.
