Georgia & Metro Atlanta Chambers of Commerce Endorse GJP’s Bill!

We have great news to share! GJP is grateful to the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce for endorsing our expungement bill (SB 257) that will remove barriers to employment for people with past involvement in the criminal legal system. Atlanta Gas Light Foundation Donates to Georgia Justice Project to Help Advance Economic, Educational and Housing Opportunities for Rehabilitated Georgians

The Atlanta Gas Light Foundation has awarded a grant to Georgia Justice Project to help expand its ability to reach the estimated 1.5 million people in Georgia who are now eligible to have their criminal records restricted following Georgia’s “second chance” law (SB 288). Learn more here!

In honor of National Celebration of Pro Bono Week, Georgia Justice Project (GJP) and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL) would like to recognize the efforts of the GACDL members volunteering to help Georgians move past their criminal record through the Freedom Expungement Project.
