GJP Recognized in 2019 NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50
Georgia Justice Project’s (GJP) Executive Director, Doug Ammar, was recently included as one of the 2019 NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50! This honor is awarded annually to 50 nonprofit working executives for their innovation, influence, and development of organizational models that can and should be replicated. Doug and GJP were recognized for a focus on re-entry and a holistic model of criminal defense services.
GJP has provided a holistic model of service to low income people in Georgia who have been affected by the criminal justice system for over 30 years. GJP travels statewide to educate individuals and service providers on criminal records issues, and has helped to pass 19 Georgia laws through advocacy efforts. GJP believes in second chances after an arrest, and works to remove barriers to employment, housing, and other opportunities faced by those with a criminal record.
