Georgia Justice Project (GJP) has created these resources to help individuals restrict and seal cases on their record on their own. You will find a video and template motion walking through the process for non-convictions and misdemeanor convictions.
Disclaimer: Videos and template motions are provided for reference purposes only and do not create an attorney-client relationship with GJP.
RESTRICTING AND SEALING A NON-CONVICTION
Click below if you have a case that did not end in a conviction. This is for most cases that ended in a dismissal, acquittal/not guilty, not presented to the grand jury, etc.
RESTRICTING AND SEALING A MISDEMEANOR CONVICTION
Click below if you have a case that ended in a misdemeanor conviction. A misdemeanor conviction is a case where you entered a guilty plea, or the court found you guilty of an offense where the punishment was less than 12 months.
